Inspired by the city of Venice, a city steeped in history and known for its role as a gateway between East and West, provides the perfect backdrop for this collection. The fragrances reflect the city’s legacy as a cultural meeting point, where spices, resins, and perfumes were exchanged between traders from around the world. The collection, which includes Acqua Sale, Alchemie, Colpo di Sole, Come with Me, and Déjà Minuit, embodies Bottega Veneta’s elevated craftsmanship and storytelling.
In true Bottega Veneta fashion, the bottle and packaging for this collection are thoughtfully designed as the fragrances themselves. The bottle embodied the brand's masterful approach to tactility, conceived in an undulating glass bottle that evokes the beauty of hand-blown Murano glass. Each flacon is made of crystal-clear glass with an innovative technique that introduces air bubbles inside the material, a nod to Venice's artisanal heritage while referencing the smooth, sensual feel of Bottega Veneta’s famous leather goods. The bottles rest on bases made from Verde Saint Denis marble, a material historically used in Venetian palazzos and churches. This same marble can also be found in Bottega Veneta stores worldwide, further tying the fragrances to the brand’s Italian roots.
Each bottle is topped with an all-wooden cap with cork inserts inside to guarantee recyclability. The caps come in natural wood or lacquered finishes, reminiscent of the city’s palazzos, and lined with cork. The gold-coloured ring around the neck of the flacon draws inspiration from designs by Carlo Scarpa, the renowned Venetian architect, adding another layer of cultural reference to the collection. No glue or cellophane is used in the sustainable outer packaging, underscoring the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and environmental consciousness.
